Top restaurants face off in Ocala and Bulls Gap

Both Florida and Tennessee are known for their local delicacies; Florida for their fresh seafood and Tennessee for their savory smoked barbecue. With locations in both Ocala, FL and Bulls Gap, TN, Tri-AM RV Center is all about supporting local businesses. We decided to take a few of the top rated restaurants in each location and pin them against each other on the taste test to see which has the best restaurants around. Check out who came out on top.

    1. Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grille vs. Yoder’s Country Market- Both of these restaurants offer a wide variety of different fare’s for your tasting pleasure.  Harry’s is a New Orleans style bistro in Ocala, FL that serves up fresh seafood from sandwiches to entrées, and features Cajun and creole type foods for the more eclectic palate. At Yoder’s Country Market in Bulls Gap, TN you’ll find mostly deli style pairings of fresh hand-shaved meats and cheeses, along with fresh baked goods and decadent desserts.  They also have sandwiches and soup combo’s for a quick but satisfying lunch. Based on the fact that Yoder’s has more of a variety to offer its patrons, we have to give this win to Yoder’s.  People come from all over to experience that “outside market” feel that you get when you visit Yoder’s. It’s a dining experience like no other.
    2. Morelia Mexican Grill vs. Café Havana- Morelia Mexican Grill in Bulls Gap, TN has the best Mexican around according to visitors and local residents.  They have a wide variety of Mexican dishes to fit all of your Spanish style cravings such as delicious chimichangas to sizzling fajitas and over-stuffed quesadillas. The fresh ingredients and amount of homemade spices used in all of their dishes sets them apart from any other Mexican restaurant in the area.  Café Havana in Ocala, FL is a little restaurant serving up Cuban fare for years.  They are also well known in the area and have been deemed a “little piece of heaven” by local patrons.  It’s so popular that they often run out of food and usually have a long wait to get in for lunch or dinner, but it’s worth the wait. Based on popularity and uniqueness of their dishes, Café Havana comes out on top in this matchup.
    3. Dairy Dream vs. Hardwood Smokehouse- The Hardwood Smokehouse in Ocala, FL is known for their savory low and slow cooked smoked meats.  They have the best pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs and chicken dishes that you’ll find in the area.  Serving up these popular dishes topped with their famous homemade barbecue sauces, The Smokehouse is a must for barbecue in Ocala.  Dairy Dream in Bulls Gap serves up their own version of low and slow cooked dishes.  From slow cooked roasts and pulled pork, to their famous open faced roast beef sandwiches, the Dairy Dream is famous for their home-style cooking. Think the best of friend foods and barbecue in the south, but right in your own backyard in TN. They are open seven days a week and are busy every single day from open to close. And since everyone knows if you want the best in barbecue you go to Tennessee, the Dairy Dream is our winner in this pairing.
