    Spring in Ocala

With summer quickly approaching and our blog last month on springtime in the Smokies, we thought it would only be fair to give our readers an in-depth look at what spring looks like in Ocala, Florida!

Ocala is a great place to be in the spring. With Ocala National Forest and plenty of parks and outdoor activities conveniently located, we thought we would share our top springtime attractions in Ocala!

    Sholom Park

One of the most beautiful parks in all of Marion County is Sholom Park.  A beautiful sight, Sholom Park features amazing paved paths that wind through a truly breathtaking landscape. If you are visiting the park, you can walk the almost 2 mile path while enjoying the birds singing and more wildlife throughout the park. One of the most common phrases people use when talking about Sholom is peaceful. Enjoy a nice walk this spring!

The Canyons Zip Line and Canopy Tours

If you are looking for a little more adventure, The Canyons Zip Line offers just that! You can book just one zip, five zips or a full 3 hour tour of the canyons with 9 zips included. The scenery is beautiful and each location offers a different perspective. Whether you are going for a just a quick adrenaline thrill or looking to experience the canyons in a unique way, give The Canyons a call!

    Silver Springs River

If you want to spend your day on the river exploring, Silver Springs River is for you! Part of Silver Springs State Park, the river is great for canoeing or kayaking with family or friends. Here are some options for renting when you get to the park.

    - Canoe or Tandem (two person) Kayak:

    • $20 for one hour
    • $30 for two hours
    • All Day Pass for $45.

    - Single Kayak:

    • $16 for the first hour
    • $22 for two hours
    • All Day Pass for $34

    - Stand Up Paddle Boards:

    • $20 for one hour
    • $30 for two hours
    • All Day Pass for $45.

    Farm Tours of Ocala

One of the more unique activities in Ocala is the Farm Tours. Marion County is named the "Horse Capital of the World", and for good reason! The county has 45 National Champions, 8 Kentucky Derby Winners and that's just the start of the accolades! This tour is not recommended for children under 6, so if you plan to go, keep that in mind.

The tour is almost 4 hours long with stops along the way to meet some horses up close and personal. A must see if you are a horse fan of any kind!
